SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – A driver was arrested early Friday morning following a chase that ended with a car crashing into a wall on the front lawn of an Allied Gardens home.

At around 4:15 a.m., police spotted a car believed to be involved in a hit-and-run on Interstate 15 and tried to pull the driver over, but he refused to stop and sped away.

The driver made his way into a neighborhood on Alfred Avenue and ended up in the driveway of a home on Millbrook Street.

However, the driver struck a van parked in the driveway, pushing it into the garage door. The driver reversed out of the driveway, but the car instead veered off the pavement, ran over the front lawn and struck a retaining wall.

With the car stuck on the broken retaining wall and partially touching the sidewalk, police arrested the driver.

An officer at the scene told 10News the driver was believed to be under the influence.

No injuries were reported.
