SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A woman was taken into custody after leading police on a high-speed chase from Escondido to Mission Valley early Monday morning.
At around 3:30 a.m., Escondido police spotted a Volkswagen sedan being driven by a woman with an unspecified warrant. Police tried to pull the vehicle over, but the driver sped away onto state Route 78.
The car transitioned to southbound Interstate 15, reaching speeds up to 130 MPH with officers in pursuit.
After exiting I-15 at Camino Del Rio South, the vehicle crashed into a tree in front of the Quality Inn near Mission Center Road.
The woman, who was not identified, was not injured in the wreck and was arrested by officers.
No other injuries were reported.
