SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A driver crashed into an apartment complex causing a gas leak and forcing several homes to evacuate.
The incident happened at around 3:30 p.m. in the 5000 block of Barstow Street, according to San Diego police.
The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
An SDPD officer was injured and also taken to the hospital for gas fume inhalation and exposure, according to the department.
The cause of the crash is unclear.
