SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A chase early Thursday morning ended in a crash that damaged multiple parked cars in the Mountain View area.
At around 3 a.m., San Diego police were attempting to pull over a Ford Fusion for an expired registration, but the driver refused to stop and sped away.
Police pursued the Fusion as it traveled southbound on 36th Street from Ocean View Boulevard, but the chase ended when the car slammed into several vehicles parked in the 500 block of 36th Street.
The driver and two others got out of the Fusion and tried to run, but officers were able to find and arrest them. A female passenger in the Fusion was taken to the hospital after complaining of pain.
10News learned four of the 8 cars damaged in the crash belonged to the same family.
No other injuries were immediately reported.
