SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A bluff collapse in Del Mar has forced the closure of a busy road and created uncertainty for the homes above it.
The bluff collapse along Jimmy Durante Boulevard was first reported Saturday night.
Photos from the area show part of the bluff spilled over onto the roadway. The closure caused a major traffic backup on Monday afternoon's rush hour, as cars were all diverted to the 101.
Homes sit atop the hill, but it’s unknown at this time if the homes are in any danger.
