3 men shot during argument in San Diego's Chollas Creek neighborhood

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Three men were hospitalized after being shot during a confrontation in San Diego’s Chollas Creek neighborhood.

San Diego police said the shooting occurred at around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 3800 block of Winona Avenue.

According to police, a group of people were in the area when a verbal argument ensued. During the argument, gunshots were fired into the crowd, striking three people.

Four males wearing dark clothing were seen running from the scene after the gunfire, police said, but detailed descriptions of the four people were not immediately available.

They were last seen running southbound in the 5000 block of Auburn Drive.

Police said a 30-year-old man and 28-year-old man each had three gunshot wounds. A 39-year-old man suffered one gunshot wound.

The three victims were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives with SDPD’s Mid-City Division are investigating the shooting.
