SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Two people were arrested after a pursuit during which their car struck another vehicle at an intersection.

California Highway Patrol officers were trying to pull over a car for having dealer plates at around 2 a.m., but the vehicle sped away on Skyline Drive at a high rate of speed.

San Diego police spotted the car a few moments later and tried to pull it over, but the vehicle continued until it reached the intersection of Jamacha Boulevard and Sweetwater Road.

At the intersection, the car struck another vehicle but kept going. The collision left a female driver with injuries of unknown severity.

The car eventually crashed into a parked car and brick wall at a Bay Terraces apartment complex, prompting two young men to flee the wreckage.

Officers caught up to the pair and arrested them.

Police told 10News the car in the pursuit matches the description of a vehicle involved in a National City robbery.

Officers are trying to determine if the two men arrested were involved in the robbery.
