SANTEE, Calif. (KGTV) - A woman was killed late Sunday night after a fire ripped through a mobile home in Santee.

The fire was reported at around 10:45 p.m. at 10800 Woodside Avenue, according to authorities.

It took responding fire crews more than 30 minutes to enter through the home’s front door due to the flames and heat. Once inside, crews confirmed that a woman died.

Several neighbors told 10News that the elderly woman lived alone in the home.

The fire did not spread to other homes, and no injuries were reported.

There is no immediate word on what caused the fire, but 10News learned the sheriff’s Bomb/Arson unit is investigating the incident.
