San Diego's homeless pets get free veterinary care at Barrio Logan shelter

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -  Dozens of homeless animals got some much needed veterinary care Wednesday at a San Diego shelter.

Staff members of the Helen Woodward Animal Shelter went to the Alpha Project tent at 16th Ave. and Newton in Barrio Logan.

Veterinarians provided vaccines and medicine to dozens of dogs and cats.

The service is made available every month to those living in the temporary homeless tents.
