A 26-foot-tall replica of One World Trade Center -- the tallest Lego model in the U.S. -- is on display at Legoland California in Carlsbad.
The tower is made out of more than 250,000 Lego bricks and took eight model builders more than 1,200 hours to complete.
It was unveiled Thursday in the park's Miniland New York attraction. A ribbon-cutting ceremony included Carlsbad police Chief Neil Gallucci and fire Chief Michael Calderwood, along with officers and firefighters as special guests.
Miniland New York also features model replicas of the 9/11 Memorial's twin reflecting pools, a grove of memorial trees and the World Trade Center transportation hub. Guests can also use a special viewer to look across Miniland USA, from a skycraper's perspective.
