LAS VEGAS (KGTV) - Las Vegas police are investigating a shooting at the Miracle Mile Shops in Planet Hollywood that left two security guards injured and has two suspected robbers on the run.
KTNV in Las Vegas, citing Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, reported two men robbed a Sunglasses Hut store at around 7 p.m. Thursday. The men fled with unspecified merchandise and were pursued by two security guards alerted to the theft.
The security guards chased the suspected robbers into the third floor of a parking garage, and it was there that one of robbers fired at them.
KTNV reported one guard was struck in the neck, while the other guard was hit in the hand. The guards suffered what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

The suspected robbers fled the garage just before police arrived, KTNV reported.

Police locked down the garage for several hours in search of the suspected robbers and urged visitors and employees to leave. However, those with vehicles in the parking garage were unable to access the garage.
KTNV reported police are interviewing several witnesses and viewing surveillance video from the store and garage.
