A judge ordered Julie Harper to pay $10,000. That money will go towards the funeral expenses for her husband and therapy sessions for their two oldest children.

"I'm sure these kids have received an extensive amount of counseling, for obvious reasons, okay? Their mother killed their father," said Judge Blaine Bowman.

Nearly $5,000 of the money Julie Harper has to pay will cover the cost of Jason Harper's funeral.

Julie Harper was convicted of second-degree murder last year for shooting and killing her husband in their home more than three years ago.

She had claimed he was abusive and the shooting was in self defense.

The judge also ruled that evidence from the trial could be returned to its owners, including jewelry that belongs to Harper and two guns that belong to her father.
