Initial results released by San Diego County Registrar of Voters

The initial results in the primary election have been released by the San Diego County Registrar of Voters. The key races show:

-- San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer with 62 percent of the vote in his bid for reelection, compared to 19 percent for Lori Saldana and Ed Harris, with 14 percent counted;
-- Supervisor Dave Roberts with 39 percent in his try for reelection, with 34 percent for Encinitas Mayor Kristin Gaspar and 27 percent for Escondido Mayor Sam Abed, with 10 percent of the vote counted; and
-- Barbara Bry with nearly 50 percent in the San Diego City Council District 1 race, compared to 34 percent for Ray Ellis; and
-- Proposition I, which would raise the minimum wage and offer five paid sick days to San Diego workers, was passing with support from 62 percent of the voters.
