SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Hundreds of UC San Diego transfer students who'd planned to live on campus are now at an apartment complex a couple miles away because there wasn't enough housing this quarter.
University representatives said they underestimated the demand and ran out of space.
There is transportation to and from campus and the school is providing food trucks, but many students say the situation is still inconvenient and it's difficult for them to utilize the meal plans they paid for.
UC San Diego told 10News they hope to have the students moved as soon as November 1.
