MEET BUCK ROGERS...

"Buck" is one 80 veterans leaving Lindbergh Field this morning for their "Honor Flight" trip to the WWII memorial. Three of the veterans are over 100 years old. There are five female veterans and a pair of identical twins.

The organizer estimates there are only 1,000 WWII veterans left in San Diego County.

Friday will be the first Honor Flight of 2017. The organization had to cancel a trip planned for spring due to a lack of funding. You can donate to the non-profit at https://bitly.com/

Watch Buck tell his story about how he earned his name and what he's looking forward to seeing on his trip to D.C.
