SAN DIEGO – A search is underway for the driver of a stolen car who struck a San Diego police patrol vehicle in Logan Heights Wednesday morning.
The incident reportedly began when an officer attempted to pull over a Honda Civic sometime before 5:20 a.m. in the 3200 block of Logan Avenue. The driver jumped out of the car while it was in neutral, prompting the car to roll back into the SDPD cruiser. The suspect then ran from the scene.
Officers later learned the car had been reported stolen. There were no injuries.
Police shut down a one-block radius as they searched for the suspect, who was described as a Hispanic man.

As of 7 a.m., the suspect was still at large. No further details were confirmed.
