MISSION BAY, Calif. (KGTV) -- An unusual sight befell visitors to Mission Bay Sunday morning as a vehicle submerged in the water
The man parked his Nissan Xterra at Mission Bay water ski course during low tide but later discovered the battery had died around 10:00 p.m. last night.
He tried all night, to no avail, to get his car out of the sand.
When the tide came in, it swallowed the car.
Thankfully the owner was able to get his belongings out of the car before they became drenched.
The man said he is in between jobs and was living out of his car.
