SPRING VALLEY, Calif. -- A Halloween party and fundraiser for a cancer patient ended abruptly after uninvited guests crashed it and opened fire, sending one man to the hospital.
About 50 revelers were at a home on Broadview near Innsdale Avenue when the party crashers arrived and were kicked out. Shortly after 1 a.m. at least one person opened fire hitting a 33-year-old man who was in the standing in the street, a San Diego Sheriff's department representative said.

The victim was rushed to the hospital and underwent surgery. He is expected to survive.
The suspect has not been caught and the sheriff's department has not provided their description.
