A Grossmont High School student battling leukemia has passed away.
Ryan Wilcox had been fighting for his life since he was a toddler. He had a brain tumor at age three and was later diagnosed with leukemia.
10News was there in May when A-list actors Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Evans surprised Wilcox at his El Cajon home.
Paltrow said she had heard about his story on social media.
His family said he died peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones.
