SAN DIEGO – A 20-year-old woman struck by a car in La Mesa was rushed to a hospital early Wednesday morning with possible serious injuries.
The woman was struck in the area of Fletcher Parkway and Baltimore Drive sometime before 6:25 a.m. San Diego police and San Diego Fire-Rescue crews responded and provided emergency medical aid to the victim before she was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. Her condition was not confirmed.
A Sig Alert was issued and the westbound lanes of Fletcher Parkway were closed after the incident, but have since reopened.
The circumstances of the crash were not immediately clear.
