RANCHO PENASQUITOS, Calif. — A gas leak prompted a short evacuation of a residential street Thursday morning.
San Diego Gas & Electric said a landscaper mowing a lawn may have caused the 3/4" gas line break reported at 9:28 a.m. at 14779 Caminito Orense Oeste near Caminito Orense Este. The leak was controlled by 11:47 a.m. and residents were allowed back in to their homes at that time.
SDG&E remains at the scene and is expected to complete the repairs by 4:00 p.m.
