SAN DIEGO – Firefighters had to cut into the roof of a garage to extinguish a garage fire that broke out in a Bay Park neighborhood Tuesday morning.
The fire was reported at 6:09 a.m. at a one-story home in the 3500 block of Ethan Allen Avenue. San Diego Fire-Rescue crews responded to find the garage of the home ablaze. They were able to knock it down by 6:30 a.m. The fire did not get into the living space of the home, firefighters at the scene said.
All the residents were able to get out safely and there were no reported injuries.
The cause and circumstances of the fire were under investigation.
