Friends remember woman killed in crash in Mira Mesa

Friends and family are remembering a 19-year-old woman killed by a suspected drunk driver in Mira Mesa Sunday morning.

Tutam Le was just minutes away from where she lived when she was T-boned by a 21-year-old man who police believe was drunk.

It happened as Le was pulling onto Camino Ruiz and Zapata around 1 a.m. Sunday.

Family, friends and strangers dropped off flowers, candles and stuffed animals in memory of the Westview High School Graduate on Monday night.

Sandra Bahar first met Le when she started dating Bahar's brother two years ago.

"He's really devastated. He's just crying. He really loved her a lot," said Bahar.

Le's boyfriend placed a Pokemon Go stuffed animal at the crash site. The couple loved playing the game together.

"She was so sweet. She was always smiling, that's why I can't stop thinking about her because she was full of life," said Bahar.

Police haven't released the name of the 21-year-old driver who hit her. He went to the hospital, but was expected to recover.

"That's why I can't stop crying. I just feel like I wanted to go to the hospital and show her picture and be like "Do you think she deserved this?" said Bahar.

Le would've celebrated her 20th birthday this weekend.
