SAN DIEGO -- Fierce winds from Friday's storm damaged several trees, including a mature one that came down across an intersection in Pacific Beach.

Drivers at Cass and Loring took detours as clean-up crews carved up the tree so it could be hauled away.

Fortunately no one was hurt when that tree toppled onto the roadway.

Also lucky: A family in Vista, when a Eucalyptus broke apart about three in the morning, waking them but landing in the yard instead of into the house.

Kelly Martino told 10News, "We never went back to bed, stayed in front in the living room because the wind was blowing so hard, I was afraid it was going to fall into the house.”

There were some anxious moments but they're fine.
