SAN DIEGO - A structure fire at Naval Medical Center San Diego Monday afternoon sent smoke into the air, but caused no injuries.
The fire broke out at a trailer on the property at 34800 Bob Wilson Dr. Witnesses reported hearing noise similar to gunshots and explosions, but San Diego police tweeted: "No explosion and no police resources are needed."
A Navy source told 10News the fire was an electrical fire at a contractor trailer that caused minor damage. The fire was quickly knocked down and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
