SAN DIEGO - A structure fire in Hillcrest prompted the evacuation of residents Thursday.
The fire was reported just before 6:30 p.m. at a building on 4th and University avenues.
The second floor of the building, which are residential apartments, was forced to evacuate due to the firefighting effort.
At about 6:50 p.m., firefighters were able to stop the fire.
There is no immediate word on the cause of the fire or possible injuries.
