GOLETA, Calif. (KGTV) -- A brush fire burning in Goleta has destroyed several homes in Santa Barbara County, according to our ABC affiliate in Los Angeles.
The fire broke out around 9 p.m. in the 1500 block of Holiday Hill Road on Friday night. Dozens of people have been evacuated.
Red Cross Volunteers are in the process of opening an evacuation center, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. They've named this brush fire the "holiday fire."

The Sheriff's Department said the fire started at a home and then spread to nearby brush, according to KABC.
The SBCounty Fire Department is working on a structure fire that has spread to vegetation in very North end of Fairview, above Goleta. Any residents one the Mountain side of Cathedral Oaks should evacuate immediately downhill and away from the area as a precaution. Please do not
