(KGTV) - Camp Pendleton and Orange County firefighters are battling a small fire on the north side of the base near San Clemente Tuesday.
The Orange County Fire Authority reports the flames at half an acre at 12:30 p.m. on the east side of the freeway just south of Cristianitos Rd.
Traffic backed up on Interstate 5 due to the fire and two crashes. The CHP issued a Sig-Alert during the fire, which shut down the far right lane.
