SAN DIEGO (KGTV)--A man died after losing control of his truck on Interstate 15 near Interstate 805 Saturday night, according to City News Service.
The solo-vehicle crash killed Alejandro Walker-Resendis, 27, of Chula Vista who was pronounced dead at the scene around 11:45 p.m., authorities told City News Service.
Paramedics found Walker-Resendis, who authorities said was driving alone without a seat belt, lying on the freeway and were unable to revive them.
According to CNS, Walker-Resendis was approaching the transition to southbound I-805 when he lost control of his truck, causing it to leave the roadway on the left shoulder. As the driver attempted to correct the direction of his vehicle, it slid sideways and crashed into the guardrail on the right shoulder.
Freeway lanes were temporarily shut down following the investigation.
