The woman hit by three cars in a row, none of which stopped, while she was crossing Linda Vista Road Sunday night was a mother to nine children, and they want answers.

Wynona Mitchell, 48 was full of life and loved fashion, her children said.

“She was young in spirit, young at heart,” her oldest daughter, Latoya Jackson, 30, said.

Sunday night about 10:30, Mitchell tried to dash across Linda Vista Road, outside the crosswalk, near Mesa College Drive, police said.

Police said a driver in a dark sedan slammed into her and kept going. Moments later, a pickup truck with a camper shell ran over her, police said. Then, a driver in a red car hit her.

None of the three drivers stopped, police said.

Wednesday night, some of Mitchell’s children, other family and friends took to the street.

“She was very much loved,” Jackson said.

Just feet from where she was killed.

“Please come forward!” Jackson said.

Police told 10News they are looking for a 1980s Toyota Camry, color unknown.

It may have damage to the front end or windshield.

The family has set up a GoFundMe page to pay for funeral expenses.
