Authorities Tuesday publicly identified a 46-year-old Fallbrook man who was fatally injured in a motorcycle crash on Palomar Mountain over the weekend.
Peter Jones Chow lost control of his 2008 Yamaha R1 motorcycle on a curve in South Grade Road near Canfield Road and was ejected into oncoming traffic shortly after 3 p.m. Sunday, according to the California Highway Patrol and the county Medical Examiner's Office. Chow and his bike slid into the path of a 2008 Nissan Versa.
He was subsequently airlifted to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, but died from his injuries at the hospital later Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
