A photo of active-duty mothers, who wore their uniforms to a group shot of them breastfeeding their new babies, is going viral on social media, but not without controversy - angry comments and even some reported ‘take-down’-type censorship on Facebook.

Former Air Force service member Tara Ruby took the portrait to spruce up the new nursing room in the headquarters of Fort Bliss, Texas, with permission from Fort Bliss Public Affairs and Garrison Command.

"Ruby posted the photo Thursday night on her Facebook business page. By Friday morning, for reasons unknown to her, it had been removed from her page and from other pages that had shared it. (Facebook did not immediately respond to a request for comment.) She reposted it Friday morning, thanking everyone involved for supporting her vision to #normalizebreastfeeding."
The photo has now been shared more than 8,000 times, with additional stories showing up in the Washington Post, USA Today, and Buzz Feed.
