The newly expanded nonprofit Linda Vista Health Center opens to the public Monday, creating a one-stop medical, dental and mental health facility to families in need, according to San Diego Family Care officials.

The new 23,000-square-foot facility located at 7011 Linda Vista Road will accommodate an additional 40,000 patient visits in its first year.

"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to further serve our community with increased access to quality care through this new health center," said San Diego Family Care CEO Roberta Feinberg.

"At San Diego Family Care, we take the time to listen, find answers and provide quality care," she said. "With our focus on expanding access to care, our goal is to be your primary care provider."

The facility is equipped to provide adult medicine; pediatrics; mental health, including psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers; dentistry; optometry; podiatry; prenatal and reproductive care; a teen clinic; an on site laboratory; and a pharmacy.

The new health center features 19 exam rooms for adults and children; six dental operatories; a private mental health pavilion; and five separate waiting rooms for each service offered.

For more than 40 years, San Diego Family Care has provided culturally appropriate care in multiple languages to families in San Diego County through its seven community health facilities in City Heights and Linda Vista.

Multiple insurance types are accepted, including MediCal and Medicare, and all services are available on a sliding fee scale to uninsured patients to ensure affordability.
