A man who confronted the new boyfriend of his ex-girlfriend was stabbed Saturday morning when the two men got into a fight in Redwood Village. According to police, the suspect is still on the loose.
The stabbing took place at 12:50 a.m. at 5400 Streamview Dr., according to San Diego police Sgt. David Jennings.
The 48-year-old ex-boyfriend of a woman confronted the new boyfriend and the confrontation turned into a fight, according to Jennings. During the struggle the ex was stabbed several times in the head and the chest by the new boyfriend.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment and the suspect fled, Jennings said. The victim's wounds are not believed to be life-threatening.
The suspect, whose nickname is "Mokie," is described as a black male, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds, according to Jennings. He is bald and was last seen wearing a red and white shirt.
Mid City detectives are investigating the stabbing and fight, Jennings said.
