EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) - An early morning break-in at an El Cajon middle school is under investigation.
El Cajon police said officers responded to a tripped burglar alarm at Montgomery Middle School (1570 Melody Lane) at about 3 a.m. Wednesday.
Officers arrived at the school and spotted someone believed to be involved in the break-in. After a foot pursuit, the person got away.
Police discovered at least five classrooms had been broken into, and officers found several computers stacked on carts.
Officers are looking for a silver Ford pickup truck that was seen speeding away from the school.
It remains unclear if any items were actually taken during the break-in.
