Several events associated with baseball's All-Star Game are scheduled Sunday in downtown San Diego and the East Village.

First off at 7 a.m. is the third annual The Color Run 5K, in which participants are doused with colored powder at each kilometer as they head to Petco Park and back.

The run will begin and end at the Waterfront Park outside the County Administration Center, where a post-race festival is scheduled.

At noon, a block party will open on J Street between Sixth and 10th avenues. The event, with free admission, will include food, music and interactive baseball activities, according to Major League Baseball.

The block party will also be held Monday and Tuesday.

The Futures Game, featuring top minor league prospects, will be held at Petco Park at 4 p.m.

The rosters of U.S. and World Team players include Padres Triple-A slugger Hunter Renfroe, who could be called up as soon as next month. His El Paso teammates, infielder Carlos Asuaje and outfielder Manuel Margot, will play for the World Team.

The USA roster also includes pitcher Joe Musgrove, who grew up in El Cajon and attended Grossmont High School. Musgrove pitches for Triple-A Fresno in the Houston Astros organization.

When the Futures Game ends, the MLB All-Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game will be played with former baseball stars, actors and other celebrities. Headlining the contest are former Padres Rollie Fingers, Rickey Henderson, Trevor Hoffman, Ozzie Smith and David Wells, plus actors J.K. Simmons and Mark-Paul Gosselaar, soccer star Landon Donovan and football quarterback Drew Brees, a former Charger.

A pair of sergeants who play on a Wounded Warrior softball team, Martin Diaz and Chris Gary, will also play.

The MLB FanFest, which includes interactive activities and appearances by former players, will continue from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the San Diego Convention Center.

The 87th baseball All-Star Game is set for Tuesday at Petco Park.
