NATIONAL CITY, Calif. – Officers are searching for the drivers of two vehicles that were involved in a rollover crash on Interstate 805 in National City early Tuesday morning.
According to California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred before 2:35 a.m. off I-805 southbound, near State Route 54, near the Sweetwater Road exit. CHP officers discovered an overturned SUV down an embankment and a car with rear end damage. The SUV had a branch through its windshield.
The vehicles were abandoned. Officers also found some empty beer bottles nearby.
CHP believes one of the drivers was a woman.
As of 5:30 a.m., they had not been found.
