SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A driver escaped serious injury after the truck he was driving plunged from a freeway overpass and landed on the street below.
The incident happened at around 3 a.m. on Pacific Highway, according to police.
Police told 10News the driver was speeding on the highway when he lost control of his truck. The truck crashed through a barrier before slamming down onto Witherby Street.
Witnesses said the driver was initially stuck inside the damaged truck but smashed the back window to get out.
Police said the man, who was not injured, did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
No other injuries were reported.
