CORONADO, Calif. (KGTV) - A woman was taken to the hospital early Friday morning after crashing her car into a parked police cruiser.
The incident happened shortly after 12:30 a.m. in the 700 block of Orange Avenue, according to authorities.
Authorities said the driver somehow lost control of her car and struck a police car parked in front of the Coronado police station, pushing the cruiser at least 50 feet into the center median on Orange Avenue.
While no one was inside the police cruiser, the woman suffered unspecified injuries and was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center for treatment.
10News learned the woman would be evaluated to see if she was driving under the influence.
No other injuries were reported.
