SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - One person suffered minor injuries in a crash on Interstate 805 in the Sorrento Valley area involving a semi-truck and one other vehicle.
The crash, which prompted a Sig Alert, happened just before 6 a.m. on southbound I-805 just south of Sorrento Valley Rd., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The cause of the collision is unknown, but the CHP initially reported the crash involved a Honda Element and another unknown vehicle. It was later reported that a semi-truck struck the Honda, leaving it completely destroyed on the slow lane.
A person trapped inside the Honda was rescued, and 10News learned that person only suffered minor injuries.
No other injuries were immediately reported.
