Driver knocks down fence, crashes into home in Egger Highlands area

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI after crashing her car into a fence and slamming into the side of a house in the Egger Highlands area.

The crash happened at about 11:15 p.m. Monday in the 1300 block of Thermal Avenue, according to San Diego police.

Police said the female driver crashed into the fence and the side of a house but backed out and drove away.

Moments later, officers who happened to be in the area when the 911 call was made spotted the woman parked down the street from the crash.

The woman nearly fell over several times as she underwent field sobriety tests, 10News learned.

She was arrested on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run.

No injuries were reported.
