ENCINITAS, Calif. — An assisted living facility caught fire just before noon on Thursday off Saxony Road.
The City of Encinitas says 44 residents of Seacrest Village were evacuated and are all accounted for. They said the fire originated on the second floor and spread to the first floor, resulting in a second-alarm fire.
The city says the fire is currently under control and is being investigated.
