SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A man was arrested after he allegedly violated a restraining order and led law enforcement officers on a high-speed pursuit, during which a sheriff's deputy patrol vehicle struck another car.
At about 10 p.m. Monday, sheriff's deputies received a report of a man violating a restraining order on Blossom Hill Court in Lemon Grove. Responding deputies tried to subdue the man, deploying a stun gun during the confrontation.
However, the man was able to get into a silver Kia car and fled the scene.
With deputies in pursuit, the driver raced westbound on Palm Avenue and then entered westbound state Route 94 at Federal Boulevard. After exiting on Kelton Road, the driver made his way into the City Heights area on Euclid Avenue.
After speeding past the intersection of University and Euclid avenues in City Heights, a pursuing deputy struck a black Honda sedan at the intersection, sending it spinning into a parked SUV. No one was injured in the wreck.
Deputies eventually spotted the Kia in the 4700 block of Miracle Drive and took the wanted man into custody.
No serious injuries were reported during the pursuit.
