SANTEE, Calif. (KGTV) - A man suspected of threatening some Home Depot employees with a gun was arrested Thursday after trying to hide in the bathroom of a nearby restaurant.
Just after 6:15 p.m., sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a man who confronted several employees at the Home Depot store at 255 Town Center Parkway in Santee.
Deputies said the man had been questioned inside the store regarding a possible threat, and during a confrontation in the parking lot, he allegedly threatened the workers with a gun.
Deputies said no theft at the store had occurred.
The man, armed with what was later determined to be an airsoft pistol, fled the scene. A short time later, deputies found him inside a bathroom at an IHOP eatery on Mission Gorge Road and arrested him on suspicion of making criminal threats and resisting arrest.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
