SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Crime Stoppers needs the public's help to find suspects wanted for setting two fires in five days at Carmel Valley schools.
The first fire was August 9 at Ocean Air Elementary. The flames broke out in a storage container and spread to the wall of a classroom. Firefighters estimated the damage at $25,000.
The second fire happened August 13 at Sage Canyon Elementary. The fire broke out in a storage container. Sprinklers kept the flames under control until firefighters arrived.
A witness to the Sage Canyon fire said three males ran away from the school to a dark-colored sedan and sped away.
Due to the nature of the fires and the proximity of the schools, investigators believe the fires are related.
