SAN DIEGO -- A 7-year-old girl pulled lifeless from a hotel swimming pool in Bay Park Monday night is expected to make a fully recovery.
The incident was reported at 8:16 p.m. at the Best Western hotel pool on Clairemont Drive.
The young girl was with her brother and grandfather when her brother noticed her at the bottom of the pool. Her grandfather pulled her out of the pool and a nurse who was nearby provided emergency medical aid until San Diego police and San Diego Fire-Rescue crews arrived on scene.
A vacationer described the scene to 10News.
"She turned to the side and she spit out a bunch of water,” witness Rick Schultz said. “Then they gave her mouth to mouth, and she was awake, but her eyes rolled back in her head. It was pretty scary."
The girl was alert and talking when she was transported to the hospital. She is expected to be OK.
