Couple tired of hit-and-run crashes in Ocean Beach

Says their cars have been hit three times

Greg Johnson is frustrated by the drivers that keep damaging his vehicles near Point Loma Avenue and Sunset Cliffs Boulevard.

"It doesn't matter where you park around here, you're going to get nailed," Johnson said.

Someone hit his fiance's Subaru and a neighbors SUV earlier this week, causing significant damage to both vehicles. They only have a slim description of the hit-and-run driver.

"We're looking for a silver Mercedes with a bunch of front end damage," Johnson said.

Johnson says they bought the Subaru to replace the car that was completely totaled about 6 months ago by a drunk driver who rammed into the car while it was parked.

"Came smoking around the corner, nailed her car, pushed it over the curb and into the pole," Johnson said. "Who gets that kind of bad luck?"

He hopes this third accident can break their streak of bad luck.

"You know, that's pretty messed up and selfish to do that to somebody that had nothing to do with it," Johnson said. "We didn't do anything wrong, it was completely your fault."
