SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Firefighters evacuated City Heights residents Friday due to a gas leak in City Heights.
The emergency started about 12:30 p.m. when a construction crew broke a gas line at Van Dyke and Orange Avenues, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue.
Two apartments and one home were evacuated. Firefighters told other nearby residents to shelter in place.
SDG&E is estimating the line will be repaired by 3:15 p.m.
