(KGTV) - Friends, families, and community members are coming together Saturday to help out the family of a Lemon Grove educator who died suddenly last month.

Jessica Casillas Stenovec, 34, died unexpectedly on June 8 due to severe bleeding in her brain, according to her husband, Cory. No warning signs were caught before it was too late, he wrote on social media.

Casillas Stenovec was the assistant principal of Lemon Grove Academy Middle School. A video memorial on the school's website reads, "In her 34 years of life, she made sure to spend every day laughing, giving, and loving. She was a devoted educator, mother, wife, aunt, sister, daughter ... and our beloved assistant principal."

"We love and miss you, Jessica. LGA Middle Wolves are honored and committed to carrying on your beautiful spirit every single day."

She is survived by her husband, 4-year-old daughter, Kaiya, mother Mary Ann Casillas, father Steve Casillas, and sister Taryin Casillas.

"Words cannot express the pain that we are feeling for everyone involved. Jess was loved by so many. She was something special to everyone," A GoFundMe fundraiser page for the family reads. "It is in these times that we all come together to give back to the woman who was always giving."

Saturday, community members, and business are helping give back to the educator's family at Bolt Brewery (8179 Center Street) in La Mesa from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to come down, grab a plate of barbecue, donate, and support her daughter and husband. Event organizers will be raffling off prizes as well.

A fundraiser has also been set up on GoFundMe to support the family. After 21 days, it has raised more than $46,000.
