SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Excitement already on Wednesday as Comic-Con International begins handing out badges to the 130,000-plus visitors expected at the San Diego Convention Center.
Superheroes and super-villains are the headliners, with elaborate costumes only part of the fun. Wednesday night is the preview but Thursday through Sunday it will be a party like no other in the Gaslamp District.
Just down the freeway from Hollywood, we will see movie and television stars as well as directors, animators, illustrators and more.

Comic-Con began decades ago as a place for fans of Superman and Batman, and Archie and Jughead to swap stories, memories, and sometimes treasured comic books. It’s grown into an international event; attracting visitors from across the globe.
It was sold out almost immediately but you just have to be near downtown to soak up the atmosphere.
